Clean Cooking Alliance Selects Portfolio Companies for Industry Acceleration Program SupaMoto has been selected as one of the 33 leading global enterprises to join the Clean Cooking Alliance Venture Catalyst program.A diverse portfolio of 33 companies, operating mainly in Africa, will be supported by the Clean Cooking Alliance’s new Venture Catalyst (VC) program. The program focuses on building an investment-ready pipeline through venture-level interventions, to deliver universal access to clean cooking in developing countries. “We are proud to launch the Alliance’s new Venture Catalyst program and its initial portfolio, which will expand as new innovators enter the market,” said Peter George, the Alliance’s Senior Director of Private Sector & Investment. SupaMoto holds Stakeholder Consultation Workshop SupaMoto held a Stakeholder Consultation Workshop with the theme, "Rolling out Clean Cooking for All in Zambia" at the Embassy of Sweden. In attendance, we had representatives from various organizations such as UNCDF, Musika Development Initiative, DFID, LCC, SNV, We Effect, UNHCR, LIVE WELL, Total, ZEMA, FAN, UNFCCC, NIRAS, and a few others. We had a great day brainstorming and sharing ideas then later had a very delicious lunch that was prepared using our Clean Cook Stoves.
NGOCC & SupaMoto sign MOU We are proud to share that we have signed an MOU with the Non-governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) in the context of the Climate Change Mitigation and Resilience Program (CCMRP). NGOCC Executive Director, Engwase B. Mwale, Gabriel Mumba, Board Chairman - SupaMoto & Marion Peterson, Business Developement - SupaMoto With Zambia being among the top ten countries worldwide in terms of deforestation, several organizations including NGOCC are engaged in promoting practices to counter this trend. NGOCC, through its CCMRP project focuses on developing a model for climate smart agriculture, which is intended to be adopted and up-scaled nationwide. If successful, this will respond to one of the key drivers of deforestation: agriculture.
